1. Introduction

Welcome to Kolorbar ("we", "us", or "our"). We operate the Kolorbar mobile application (the "App"), which allows users to browse our salon locations in New York City and book hair and beauty appointments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

When you book an appointment through the App, we collect the following personal information:

• First name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Street address, city, state, and ZIP/postal code (optional)

We also collect the following information from your device:

• Location (GPS): With your permission, we access your device's location to show the nearest Kolorbar salon and sort locations by distance. Location is only accessed while you are using the App and is never stored on our servers.
• Device identifier: A randomly generated anonymous ID stored locally on your device to associate your bookings with your device without requiring an account.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your salon appointments
• To send booking confirmation and reminder emails via our scheduling provider (Setmore)
• To show you your upcoming and past appointments within the App
• To display the nearest salon location based on your GPS coordinates
• To improve the App and our services

We do not use your information for advertising, remarketing, or sell it to third parties.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use Setmore as our appointment scheduling platform. When you book an appointment, your name, email, and phone number are transmitted to Setmore to create your booking record. Setmore may send you booking confirmation and reminder emails on our behalf. You can review Setmore's privacy policy at setmore.com/privacy.

Other than Setmore, we do not share your personal information with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

5. Data Storage and Security

Appointment history and your email address are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and SecureStore. We do not operate our own backend database storing your personal data. Your booking data lives within Setmore's secure platform.

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

Locally stored data (appointment history, tracked emails) remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear the App's data. Booking records held by Setmore are subject to Setmore's own retention policy.

7. Your Rights – California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

• Right to Know: You may request details about the personal information we have collected about you and how it is used.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

8. Your Rights – California Residents (CalOPPA)

Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), we agree to the following:

• Users can visit the App anonymously (browsing locations does not require personal information).
• This Privacy Policy is linked from the App's settings screen.
• We will notify users of any material changes to this Privacy Policy by updating the "Last updated" date above.
• Users can update their personal information by contacting us directly.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
